East Cleveland Theater is hosting auditions for “The Old Setter”, written
by John Henry Redwood.
*Director: Coralyce Carten*
*Synopsis:*
“The Old Settler” revolves around Elizabeth, an older women, who finds both
excitement and trouble when both her older sister and a young man move in. The
play takes place in the 1940s.
*Available Roles:*
(Ages listed are somewhat flexible.)
*Husband Witherspoon**: *Black man, late 20s or 30s
>From North Carolina, Husband is in NYC to retrieve his girlfriend and take
her back home. He is relatively naïve about life.
*Audition Dates:*
*Auditions are by appointment only.*
Only those roles listed are available. Auditioners should be prepared to

*Show Dates:*
Shows on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 9 shows total
Opening: Friday, May 31, 2019
Closing: Sunday, June 16, 2019
Friday and Saturday shows start at 8pm
Sunday shows start at 3pm
*Rehearsals:*
Rehearsals will begin the week of May 05, 2019. Exact dates have not been
determined. We typically have rehearsals Sundays thru Thursdays (5 days /
week), but again that is not yet set in stone. If you are concerned about
dates and timeframes, please contact us and tell us your limitations.
East Cleveland Theater is a community theater celebrating its 50th Season. Our
actors, like most of our personnel, are unpaid volunteers. We hope you
