AUDITION TIME!  DOVER PLAYERS 10 MINUTE PLAY EXPERIENCE 


Dover Players announces audition dates for their upcoming "Dover Players 10
Minute Play Experience", an international competition, featuring 10-minute
plays to be performed July 19-21. Auditions will take place Tues., June 4
and Thurs., June 6 at 7:00 pm at the North Olmsted United Methodist Church
(NOUMC), 4600 Dover Center Rd. Those interested who are unable to attend on
those evenings or want additional information, may contact two of our team

arrangements.

 

Actors should be prepared to present cold readings of selections from a
variety of unique comedic, romantic, or dramatic scripts provided by the
directors of the twelve plays. Actors and actresses of all ages and
ethnicities are encouraged to audition. Those auditioning are encouraged,
but not required to bring an acting resume showing roles played. There will
be roles for a broad age range, including children, adults and senior
citizens. No advance preparation is required. Some plays may need actors or
actresses comfortable with physical comedy and/or mime.

 

The July event will feature a variety of twelve 10 minute plays that are the
finalists from over 65 international plays submitted to Dover Players. Six
plays will be performed on Fri., July 19 at 8:00 pm and six plays will be
performed on Sat., July 20 at 8:00 pm. The top three plays as voted by the
audience and a panel of judges from the Fri. and Sat. night performances
will compete on Sun., July 21 at 3:00 pm and the play with the majority
votes will receive a gift and acknowledgment in local newspapers.
