The 48 Hour Film Project (48HFP) is the world's largest timed film
competition, happening in over 120 cities around the world this year. You
choose a film genre at random, and we give you a character, prop, and line
of dialogue that all need to be included in the film--you have 48 hours to
write, produce, and edit your film and get it back to us. All finished
films are given a red carpet World Premiere Screening on July 23rd & 24th
at Atlas Cinemas to an audience jam packed with friends, family members,
and local film fans.

The films are judged by a panel of film professionals, then we announce all
of the nominees for awards like Best Writing, Best Cinematography, Best
Lead & Supporting Actors, and more. The top films are shown at a special
Best of the Cleveland 48HFP event back at the Atlas on August 6th, we
announce all of the award winners, and close everything with an awesome
wrap party afterwords. The Best Film from Cleveland will go on to the
international Filmapalooza competition to be held in Rotterdam next March,
and even have a shot at being selected for the 48HFP's screening at next
year's Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner!

This is *the* hottest event in Cleveland film happening this summer, so you
don't want to miss out!

Filmmakers of ALL experience levels are welcome--with only 48 hours,
*everyone* has a chance to win. Besides that, seeing YOUR film up on the
largest digital cinema screen in the Cleveland market is truly an exciting
