Dancing Under The Stars - 
It's an outdoor party for music lovers and dancers at the U.S. Bank Plaza in downtown Cleveland at Playhouse Square every Tuesday this Summer!  Look for us near the giant chandelier.

FREE! All ages! Family friendly! Everyone is welcome to attend!
Join us for the hottest concert and dance series in Cleveland! 
Brought to you by Playhouse Square, Viva Dance, and Get Hep Swing.

The evenings start with a swing dance lesson from 6-6:30.
Live music begins at 6:30 and continues until 9. 

We have 13 weeks of outdoor concerts and dancing in downtown Cleveland starting Tuesday, June 4th and continuing until August 27th. 

From June 4th until July 9th the concerts and dancing highlight jazz, swing, jump blues and any music that makes you want to Jitterbug/East Coast Swing, Lindy, Charleston, Balboa, West Coast Swing, and Shag.

Our final installment of the swing themed events -
Tuesday, July 9th - Moustache Yourself - Akron, Ohio

Moustache Yourself plays in a jazz/swing style that was made popular in France in the 1930s.  Hot club jazz, or by the French name, "jazz manouche” is a style of jazz music made famous by guitarist Django Reinhardt.  Reinhardt was heavily influence by ragtime and Dixieland music and found special inspiration from Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong.  

Hot club swing standards include jazz hits of the '20s and '30s, original compositions by Django Reinhardt, such as "Nuages" and "Minor Swing"; compositions by other notable musicians of this style; and jazzed-up versions of manouche songs, such as "Dark Eyes."  Much of the repertoire is in minor keys, lending a distinctively dark sound to the tunes which contrasts with the lively performance style. 

It's infectious rhythm and exotic but familiar melodies will capture your soul and transport you to a different time and place.  

Band members Jeremy Jones (guitar), Brent Hamker (guitar), Brad Wagner (clarinet and sax), and Matthew DeRubertis (acoustic bass) are on a mission to incorporate the entire history of jazz manouche into an eclectic mix of songs ranging from the style’s beginnings to present day, which includes originals written by members. 

July 16th until August 27th feature Latin music and dancing presented by Viva Dance. 

There are paid parking lots nearby as well as some street parking.
