Hi All!



Starting Thursday July 25th, Houde School of Acting will be holding a new Sketch Comedy Writing Class with Michael Busch! This is a 4-week workshop and will be held on Thursdays from 6-8pm at our Downtown Cleveland location. (2310 Superior Ave, Cleveland)

In this class you will: 

-Break down sketches from your favorite shows

-Learn proper script formatting & terminology, how to formulate pitches, and tips on the writing process

-Pitch ideas in a writers room environment

-Write two sketches and workshop them at a live table read, receiving feedback from the instructor and fellow students




You don’t need any sketch comedy or writing experience; just a desire to write and create live and digital comedy.

Training

Michael  Busch is a graduate of IO’s improv training program and studied improv and sketch at The Upright Citizens Brigade with professionals such as Matt Besser and Matt Walsh. 




Experience
Michael  Busch has acted in sketches on Human Giant, Key & Peele, and Conan; written sketches and digital series for FunnyorDie, Comedy Central, AwesomenessTV, Break, and Maker Studios; was a member of multiple house improv (Harold) teams at IO West and UCBTLA, a writer/performer on a house sketch (Maude) team at UCBTLA, and has also written/directed/produced/acted in various other shows there.
