"The Fine Arts Association hosts a Free Open House "pARTy"
On August 3rd, 2019"

On August 3, 2019, The Fine Arts Association (FAA) is hosting a free open house "pARTy" starting at 1:00 p.m. welcoming families throughout Northeast Ohio. The pARTy is a celebration and showcase of the art programs offered by FAA. The party offers something for everyone - a dance party, mini arts workshops, open studios, Chili Con Comedy improv student performances, try out instruments, chat with faculty, attend live student performances, play games and win prizes! Don't miss the youth improv performance by Chili Con Comedy on the Corning Stage. All for free!
Kelly McMann from Q104 Radio will be broadcasting live and bringing along a prize wheel. Dessert prizes will be part of the Monopoly themed cake walk and participants may win play money for a chance at some fantastic raffle prizes and coupons including a chance to win a $200 voucher for classes or theatre performances at FAA. Free hot dogs, ice cream and beverages are generously provided by Mickey Coyne and family. Some marketing support was provided by Prince Tires, Willoughby. At 4:00 p.m. the City of Willoughby Parks and Recreation has generously donated a free bus to take families to downtown Willoughby to pick up a quick dinner and returns to FAA by 6:30 for the free post-party Cats Crew performance on the Marous Brothers Stage
Since 1957, The Fine Arts Association has been the pre-eminent community arts center serving Northeast Ohio. FAA's mission is to enhance lives through arts education, therapies, performance, community partnerships and advocacy and proudly serves all the arts under one roof - visual arts, music, dance, theatre and creative therapies. Annually, over 60,000 people come through FAA's doors and weekly over 1,400 students grace the halls. FAA offers over 100 on-site and off-site programs, workshops, camps, events, concerts and over 50 performances annually. FAA collaborates with community organizations such as Project Hope for the Homeless, The Salvation Army, United Way of Lake County, hospitals, the Juvenile Center, preschools, schools, senior centers, etc. FAA is proudly supported in part by United Way of Lake County and the Ohio Arts Council to name a few. The Fine Arts Association fervently believes in the accessibility of the arts for all people and that by bringing together a diverse community through this common language, FAA will help to bridge cultural, generational, physical and social barriers and divides. FAA offers needs-based scholarships, discounted rates for student and senior citizen groups, and free community performances and events.
FAA's vision of aspiration and inspiration is to be an innovative organization that motivates, inspires and transforms individuals. FAA seeks to serve as a leader, collaborator, promoter of creative exchange and to act as a catalyst for uniting the regional community in embracing the arts.
