Audition requirements:
Cold read from the script. Please bring a head shot and resume. If you are submitting a video audition please forward a head shot or selfie and resume to aj.hodges at yahoo.com.
  Casting for the following roles:
Young Iris (possibly double-cast with Iris) – Female, Black, ages 14, 15 & 16. She is full of life and free-spirited.
Young Manuel –(possibly double-cast with Manuel)  Male, White, ages 16, 17 & 18. Reserved, yet adventurous.Iris Smith – Female, Black, Early 30’s, doctor, engaged to college boyfriend, lives alone, raised in a strict religious home, she is an only child. Has a collection of shells. 
Manuel Goldberg – Male, Jewish, Early 30’s, married, 2 kids, owns book store passed on from his father and grandfather. Is religious and follows Jewish traditions. Has a collection of shells.
Tavora Goldberg – Female, Jewish Mid 20’s, wife of Manuel for 5 years, young minded, strong-willed and scorned, 1st generation, has accent. Was raised by her grandparents after her parents died.  
Grant Williams – Male, Black, Early 30s, fiancé of Iris. Charismatic, persistent and can be quick tempered. 

Roles for the reading are unpaid.
