See Oz like never seen before!
When farm girl Dorothy Gale runs away from the evil Miss Gulch, she finds herself lost in a strange and wonderful new world. With her faithful dog Toto at her side, she sets off on an adventure to find her way back home.
Now through August 18th at Mercury Theatre Company, The Wizard of Oz gets a bold, yet faithful reimagining by MTC Artistic Director Pierre-Jacques Brault and Resident Musical Director Eddie Carney, in which you, as the audience, choose who will accompany Dorothy to the Emerald City each night. Through an audience vote before each performance, 6 actors will take on any combination of Dorothy's friends (and foes). See Jonathan Bova, Kelvette Beacham, Jennifer Myor, David Marquette, Lynette Turner or Brian Marshall play The Scarecrow on Friday and Glinda on Saturday!! The possibilities are endless!
The Wizard of Oz, one of the most popular tales of all time that has delighted generations, currently celebrating its 80th cinematic anniversary, will feature a cast of 15 actor-musicians, led by Mercury favorite Hester Lewellen, newcomers Evan Martin, Chad Harris, David Marquette, Juliana Tate, Kris Lyons, Hanna Hensler, Joey Cook, and Paige Schiller, and introducing Kaitlyn Grabic as Dorothy. This spectacular production showcases your favorite songs and characters from the classic film with an added sprinkle of Mercury magic.
Join us somewhere over the rainbow for a fantastic festive treat…
The Wizard of Oz runs now through August 18, 2019 at Notre Dame College, 1857 South Green Road, South Euclid, OH 44121.
