THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW 
By John Heimbuch and Jon Ferguson 
Directed by Stephen Berg 
Presented by Medina County Showbiz. 

Auditions will be held on the 11th and 12th of August, with potential call-backs on the 14th.

Rehearsals will begin September 15th and run Sunday thru Thursdays.

Preference of time slots will be given to those who sign up through Sign-Up Genius. Walk-in are welcome, but will have to wait until the next available open slot in the schedule.

Auditions and Performances will be held at the Haddad Theater, 144 N. Broadway, Medina, Ohio

For the audition, actors will do ONE of the following:
- prepare a 1 minute dramatic monologue (Classic or Contemporary), 
- perform a cold-reading from the script
- prepare and tell a short scary/ghost story 

Actors are encouraged to provide a head shot, resume, and a list of potential conflicts.

The Show: A dynamic ensemble-based retelling of the famous Washington Irving short story. In the quaint village of Sleepy Hollow, stories of wonder and strangeness surround the legend of a mighty headless Hessian. When the humble schoolteacher Ichabod Crane vies for the hand of the beautiful Katrina Van Tassel, the townsfolk might protest, but it is ultimately the Horseman who will decide his fate.

ICHABOD CRANE – a Connecticut schoolteacher (Male 20's - 30's)
KATRINA VAN TASSEL– a country coquette (Female 20's)
BROM BONES – a rough and roguish country boy (Male 20's - 30's)
GEOFFREY CRAYON – a New Yorker of distinction 
BALTUS VAN TASSEL– a gentleman farmer
HANS VAN RIPPER – another gentleman farmer
PARSON VAN HOUTEN – a man of faith
RUPERT VAN BRUNT – a spiteful schoolboy
HORSEMAN – a headless Prussian mercenary
VILLAGERS & ENSEMBLE

* All roles excluding Ichabod, Katarina, and Brom will portray multiple characters*
