Celebrate The Akron Center for Art, Music & Performance’s one year anniversary in style at the 49th addition of the Electric Pressure Cooker Cabaret, Akron’s longest running “anything goes” open mic, to be held on Saturday, September 7th.

Built around three principles– Respect the Space, Respect the Performer and Respect the Audience– the Electric Pressure Cooker Cabaret advocates for the idea of radical acceptance.

The Center, a collaborative workspace dedicated to the development of performing artists, is celebrating its first anniversary!!! Let's commemorate the occasion in style at this month's Electric Pressure Cooker Cabaret. In lieu of gifts, bring your artistic presence! (Pun intended.)

Join Wandering Aesthetics and band Mopi Dykk for a night of music, comedy, spoken word and, well, truly...ANYTHING.

Don't let time pass you by... Witness firsthand these local performing artists– of all ages and genres– that help make Akron the #CreativeSummit.

Continued fundraising for Wandering Aesthetics' #KnightCities project, Bigger than a Breadbox, (Returning late 2019), as well as maintaining this vibrant community event.

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Considered by some, "the most EPIC open mic," they've ever attended, the Akron Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau's  Zenith AWARD-WINNING Electric Pressure Cooker Cabaret is a dynamic monthly showcase featuring artistic talent (musicians, theatre artists, dancers, improvisers, standup comedians, and many more...) and "ANYTHING GOES" fun. The #EPCooker "happens" at the The Center, a collaborative workspace dedicated to the development of performing artists, located above Time Traveler Records in West Hill, Akron.

There will be water, soda, coffee, tea, wine, and beer available. Outside food and beverages are also permitted.

The #EPCooker is a regularly occurring open mic that takes place on the FIRST SATURDAY of every month at The Center.
