Acclaimed singer and vocal coach Natalie Weiss conducts a masterclass
accompanied by pianist Alexandre Marr on Wednesday, September 18th at 6pm
at the Akron Civic Theatre. The class will begin with group riffing
demonstrations and exercises followed by solo participant performances and
critiques from Natalie. The evening will conclude with a Q&A.


To reserve a spot in class, please email your name and age to
contact at alexandremarr.com. Participants who would like to be considered for
a solo performance and critique, please also attach a video of your chosen
song. While there is no limit on capacity for group riffing sign-ups, only
8 solo vocal auditions will be selected for the critique. Email video
submissions are no later than Sunday, September 8th.

Those selected for solo performances will be asked to pay an additional $40
cash/check fee at the start of class. Please make these checks out to
Riffsky Business LLC. Please note that there will be no refunds provided
for those who are not selected for solo critiques. Those who are not
selected for solo performances are welcome to stay and observe the critique
and participate in the Q&A. Masterclass participants are welcome to bring
guests interested in observing the class from the audience.



*Bio*

Natalie Weiss gained an international following from her performance videos
and popular YouTube web series, "Breaking Down The Riffs". As a private
vocal coach and master class teacher, she trains performers across the US
and throughout the world. Natalie guides singers with her trademarked
method to break down riffs & runs from pop icons and often refers to her
mission as “Pop Singing For Dummies.”

Natalie is one of the most sought-after voices among new musical theatre
writers and is a soloist on several albums by numerous new musical theatre
composers. She is part of the vocal ensemble on the acclaimed soundtrack
for The Greatest Showman, can be heard on the Original Broadway Cast
recording of Dear Evan Hansen as one of the Virtual Community Voices and is
one of 4 singers on the main jingles for The Incredibles 2. Other credits
include Everyday Rapture on Broadway, national tours of Les Miserables and
Wicked and regional productions of Ghost and Chess. Natalie received her
BFA in musical theatre from Penn State University.  She has plans to
