FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH AT THE AKRON CIVIC THEATRE

Acclaimed singer and vocal coach Natalie Weiss headlines an evening of music accompanied/produced by Akron pianist Alexandre Marr. The concert will feature out of town and local artists/ensembles.

Allen Cruz, Amy Bransky, Brandy Kay Riha, Christine Stewart, Dominic Iudiciani, Brianna Swinford, Desirée Hargrave, Dominic Iudiciani, Francine Parr, Grant Campbell, Heidi Swinford, James Major Burns, Josh Budd, Joshua Johnson, Kathy Sees, Kirsten Forshew, Kathleen Pellington, Laura Williams, Mary Ober, Merissa Coleman, Olivia Wimberly, Pat Harris, Rebecca Brown, Ronnie Dailey, Ryan Routh, Tiffany Bauman, Tiffany Magill, Tim Carson, Tim Harkleroad, Trevail Smith, Valerie Stewart, My Drunkin Uncle, Temple Brothers Music, Akron’s own ETC All-American, Rouge, Main Street show choirs and others alongside a full band performing modern, theatrical, and Broadway repertoire including selections from Dear Evan Hansen, Next to Normal, The Greatest Showman, Anastasia, Hamilton, and more.

Proceeds from this concert will benefit Molly Oldham, a NE Ohio musical theatre performer who recently underwent surgery to have a brain tumor removed just before leaving for her freshman year of college only to find it was Anaplastic Ependymoma, a rare cancer with only about 300 cases diagnosed every year. Molly is 18 years old and surrounded by family and friends who are committed to help her beat this cancer. She plans to attend University of North Carolina Greensboro for an exclusive musical theatre program where only 7 applicants were accepted this year. The school is holding her place in the program.

Headliner Bio
Natalie Weiss gained an international following from her performance videos and popular YouTube web series, "Breaking Down The Riffs". As a private vocal coach and master class teacher, she trains performers across the US and throughout the world. Natalie guides singers with her trademarked method to break down riffs & runs from pop icons and often refers to her mission as “Pop Singing For Dummies.”

Natalie is one of the most sought-after voices among new musical theatre writers and is a soloist on several albums by numerous new musical theatre composers. She is part of the vocal ensemble on the acclaimed soundtrack for The Greatest Showman, can be heard on the Original Broadway Cast recording of Dear Evan Hansen as one of the Virtual Community Voices and is one of 4 singers on the main jingles for The Incredibles 2. Other credits include Everyday Rapture on Broadway, national tours of Les Miserables and Wicked and regional productions of Ghost and Chess.
