[NEohioPAL] Beck's SHREK Seeks Replacement Performers for Holiday Encore

*Beck Center for the Arts* is pleased to announce auditions for
replacements for our holiday season encore of *SHREK The Musical.*

Appointments are now being taken for *Sunday Oct. 6th* beginning at
6PM and *Monday
Oct 7th* beginning at 6PM. *Please call 216-521-2540 x10 to make your
appointment.*

*We are searching for Actor/Singer/Dancers ages** 17 to 45 for the
following tracks:*

*Dragon* (Female; Ideally African-American; must possess big belt/gospel
sound)
*Sugar Plum Fairy/Gingy* (Female; strong belt PLUS ability to do high
puppet voice)
*Papa Bear* (Male; Ideally 6'2" or over; bass/baritone)
*2 of the 3 Little Pigs* (Male; strong movers)
*Big Bad Wolf* (Male; Strong Character Actor)
*Fairy Godmother* (Female)
*Ensemble One* (Male; Multiple Roles)
*Ensemble Two* (Female; Multiple Roles)

Most roles have doubling opportunities within the show (ie # Blind
Mice/Duloc Dancers/etc)

*Audition Preparation*: Please prepare one vocal selection, ideally from
the Musical Theatre canon. Bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist
will be provided. Singing a capella is highly discouraged. Song length
should be no longer than 90 seconds. Dance calls will be held during call
back sessions only.

*Call Backs*: Will likely take place the weekend of Oct. 12/13

*Rehearsals:* Will most likely begin on or around Sat., Nov. 9th

*Performances*: *SHREK* opens Fri. Dec. 6th and closes Sunday, Jan. 5th.
Performances are Friday Evenings and Sat/Sun Afternoons with additional
performances Sat evenings (Dec. 14th and 28th) and Thursday Dec. 19th.
There are NO performances Dec. 23/24/25/26 to allow actors to travel for
Christmas Break.

Only Non-AEA actors will be seen for these roles. However, all actors are
eligible for 8 to 9 EMC points for their participation in this production.
All actors 18 and over are paid a modest stipend for their participation as
well.
