CLEVELAND CINEMAS WANTS TO SCARE YOUR PANTS OFF

(Cleveland, OH) Cleveland Cinemas has a terrifying line-up of new and classic horror films and special events - including the 10th anniversary of the 12 HOURS OF TERROR - that will be slashing their way to Cleveland as we get ready for Halloween.

Cleveland Cinemas will be presenting the following special presentations this October:


JOE BOB BRIGGS: HOW REDNECKS SAVED HOLLYWOOD – Spend a hilarious, eye-popping, fast-and-furious two hours with the legendary Joe Bob Briggs, America’s foremost drive-in movie critic, as he uses over 200 clips and stills to review the history of rednecks in America as told through the classics of horror, exploitation and mainstream movies.
Location: Capitol Theatre (1390 W. 65th St, Cleveland)
Date/time: Wednesday, October 9th at 7:30 PM
Admission: $22.50 in advance, $27.50 day of show.


THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW* – The 1975 rock & roll musical starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon & Meat Loaf continues to thrill, chill and fulfill in the ultimate cult classic midnight movie audience participation experience. Dress up in costume, bring your rice & toast and be part of the show! All screenings feature an accompanying floorshow by Simply His Servants.

ALIEN 40th Anniversary presented by TCM - Fathom Events, TCM and Twentieth Century Fox present Alien in a special 40th anniversary event coming to select cinemas featuring exclusive insight from Turner Classic Movies. Directed by Ridley Scott, the original sci-fi classic follows Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) investigating a suspected SOS on a remote planet and makes a terrifying discovery.

UNDER ConTROLL
On a construction site in the city of Baden-Baden, an evil troll who was transformed into stone in the 15th century, is inadvertently brought back to life in the present day. To stay undetected, the Troll possesses the body of Vanessa Majer, and sets his sights on unleashing an army of trolls to take over the world. The people of Baden-Baden must find a way to recapture the troll before he can finish his quest. The film is loosely based on the cult classic Troll 2 and even features George Hardy reprising his role of Farmer Michael Waits.

ROB ZOMBIE’S 3 FROM HELL
Back by popular demand-Fathom Events and Saban Films bring 3 From Hell back to theatres for one more night. First there was House of 1000 Corpses. Then there was The Devil's Rejects. Now, from writer/director Rob Zombie, comes the next blood-soaked chapter in the most violent crime saga in history...3 From Hell. This special encore event will feature an intro from Rob, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film and a brand-new commemorative poster (100 posters per location, first come, first serve)

12 HOURS OF TERROR – 10th annual all-night horror movie marathon featuring a 35th Anniversary screening of A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984),  Scream (1996), Bloody Birthday (1981), Parasite 3D (1982), Dawn of the Dead (2004) and two surprise secret screenings. No one under 18 admitted. There will be a free cake and ice cream break to celebrate our 10th anniversary.

Admission: $30 in advance ($35 day of show)


PSYCHO – From director Alfred Hitchcock, the "Master of Suspense," this psychological thriller is the tale of a woman on the lam (Janet Leigh) who checks into the mysterious Bates Motel. The property appears to be deserted, except for the proprietors Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins) and his mother. Psycho gave audiences a whole new perspective on taking showers and became Hitchcock's biggest hit. "A boy's best friend is his mother."
