*GODSPELL*

* (for students in 8th - 12th Grade)*


Stagecrafters announces auditions for GODSPELL on *Monday, November 4, 2019
from 5:30pm-8:30pm* at the Pepper Pike Learning Center, 32000 Chagrin Blvd,
Pepper Pike.

The 2012 Revival Edition is a masterful retelling of the original sensation
injected with contemporary references and dazzling new arrangements.



*Godspell* was the first major musical theatre offering from three-time
Grammy and Academy Award winner, Stephen Schwartz (*Wicked*, *Pippin*,
*Children
of Eden*); and it took the world by storm. Led by the international hit,
"Day by Day," *Godspell* features a parade of beloved songs, including "All
for the Best," "All Good Gifts," “Light of the World,” “We Beseech Thee”
and “Beautiful City.”



We are seeking a diverse group of students, *grades 8-12*, to bring these
parables, songs and characters to life. The characters in this story are
energetic and charming. Gentle, but strong. Playful. Thoughtful.
Revolutionary. They sing, they dance, they play instruments. They are an
ensemble.


*Rehearsals: *5:30pm-8:30pm, 2-3 x per week November-January (with breaks
for Thanksgiving and Winter Vacation)


*Tech Week: *January 26th-January 31st, 5:30pm-8:30pm


*Performances: *Friday, January 31st and Saturday, February 1st, 7:00pm,
Orange High School Auditorium


*Auditions: *Monday, November 4th, 2019. 5:30pm-8:30pm

                   7:00pm-8:30pm       Dance Call

(enroll on the waitlist. Once the show is cast, you will be transferred to
the cast list at which point payment will be collected.)


Please prepare 16-32 bars (or 1-minute) of contemporary musical theater in
the style of the show. Sheet music, though not required, is strongly
recommended. An accompanist will be provided. Students will be seen in the
order in which they sign-in at the door. Please plan to stay for the dance
call at 7:00pm. For the dance call, please wear appropriate dance or
athletic clothing and shoes that allow you to move freely. There will be
time to change between singing and dancing.
