The Cleveland Orchestra has been for decades a point of pride in its hometown. We are currently seeking an Education & Community Programs Administrative Coordinator who will provide administrative support for all Education & Community Engagement (EdCE) programs, select programs of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra (COYO), and Cleveland Orchestra Miami.  As the primary administrative assistant for the department, this position coordinates scheduling for all EdCE events in ArtsVision; takes responsibility for the budget tracking and reporting process; organizes and maintains a wide range of electronic and paper files; assists in the creation of education resources as well as program evaluations that gather feedback and document program impact; and serves as the primary liaison between the EdCE department and the general public.  With Education & Community Engagement as one of the five pillars of The Cleveland Orchestra's new strategic plan, this position is key to our mandate to increase the visibility, relevance and impact of TCO's programs, create value for the community, and transform lives through music.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
*        College degree required with 2-4 years of previous similar work experience
*        Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
*        Proficiency in Tessitura and ArtsVision will also be expected within a short period of time as these essential tools are vital to the department's effective and efficient operations
*        Excellent written and oral communication skills
*        Highly detail-oriented, organized, self-starting, and able to respond to changing work assignments in a fast-paced environment
*        Ability to interact professionally and effectively with musicians, staff, trustees, partner institutions, and the general public on a regular basis
*        Positive attitude and the ability to operate with grace under pressure
