ALTO SOLOIST-SECTION LEADER POSITION AVAILABLE

The Chancel Choir of the First Baptist Church of Greater Cleveland at 3630 Fairmount Boulevard (at Eaton Road) in Shaker Heights is looking for an Alto Soloist and Section Leader for its dynamic music and choir program of volunteer choristers and six (6) paid professional singers.
The position runs from January 2, 2020 through May 31, 2020, but is renewable on a season by season basis which run from the first Thursday after Labor Day through the first Sunday of June the following spring.   
   - Sunday morning worship is at 11 AM, with a choir rehearsal at 10:15 AM each Sunday.
   - Thursday evening rehearsals are from 7 PM to 8:45 PM weekly except when a Thursday falls on a holiday.
   - There is per-service compensation for additional rehearsals and performances as scheduled by the music director.
   - Paid position - competitive salary.
Auditions will be held at the church starting at about 11:30 AM Sunday afternoon, December 14, 2019 in the Sanctuary of the church at 3630 Fairmount Boulevard in Shaker Heights.  When you apply you will be given an exact time.
   
   - An accompanist will be available.
   - You will be asked to sing a solo of your choosing, and asked to sight read.  You may be asked to sing in a quartet with current soloists.
