*Nicole Golonka is a performer, creator, and educator who identifies as an
arts activist, values social justice in her work, and strives to increase
arts access. A recent graduate from Loyola University Chicago in 2019, she
holds degrees in dance and psychology. At the undergraduate level, she
researched nationally and internationally (Havana, Cuba & Rome, Italy) by
way of Loyola's Provost Fellowship. She has performed soloist roles in
works by Rena Butler, Alice Klock, Carrie Hanson, Randy Duncan, Sarah
Cullen Fuller, and Amy Wilkinson and studied with the San Francisco
Conservatory of Dance, Northwest Dance Project, Vim Vigor, Opificio
Certificate Program, and the Seldoms. To further her passion for the
intersection of dance and disability, Nicole served as a host committee
member for the Midwest Convening on Physically Integrated Dance in 2016,
under the direction of Sarah Cullen Fuller, and collaborated on the dance
films, "ALL" and "Dance the Vote". Professional performance residencies
include Mandala Dance Company, Line Out Dance Company, E. Sperimenti Dance
Co., Karen Fantasia, and Nicolas Grimaldi Capitello. As an emerging
choreographer, she has created for both live performance and film and was
recently featured in Chicago's Emergence Choreographic Showcase. Nicole is
currently a company trainee with GroundWorks Dance Theater and teaches
throughout the Cleveland area.*
