After a powerfulperformance two years ago, HTBARJreturns to the library for a onetime FREE performance. The75-minute production will be followed by a talkback with the playwright, actor,and the man who inspired the play.

Based on the truestory of a man from NE Ohio who overcame heroin addiction, HOW TO BE ARESPECTABLE JUNKIE is an award-winning play written by Greg Vovos andfeaturing Christopher Bohan*. It is a humorous, heartbreaking, but ultimatelyhopeful look into the struggles faced by those caught in heroin’s deadly grip. 

 

HTBARJ premiered at Dobama Theatre in the Summer of 2017 where it wasdirected by Nathan Motta and played to sold-out audiences and received bothcritical and audience acclaim, including a feature in the New York Times.
