LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO DO THIS SUMMER?
livevirtually: Master Class Edition
Tailored for All-City Musical and the Millennial Theatre Project
Participants
Classes are open to students grades 9 -12 and adults ages 18-45

WHAT IS INCLUDED: Acting technique and table work sessions will be taught
once a week for ten weeks by Mavis Jennings (Director of the All-City
Musical, Former Singer and Actor with Cirque du Soleil and Kent State
Professor) and Francine Parr (Artistic Director of the Millennial Theatre
Project). This course will examine acting techniques and teach students how
they can prepare/create a role or character for performances. Lessons will
include but are not limited to - script analysis, playing actions, given
circumstances, objectives and scene work.

WHEN: Students must sign up for one of the following class times (classes
sizes are limited):
Class 1: Fridays from 4-5:30pm (starting Friday, June 5th and ending
Friday, August 7th).
Class 2: Saturdays from 2-3:30pm (starting Saturday, June 6th and ending
Saturday, August 8th).
Class 3: Saturdays from 4-5:30pm (starting Saturday, June 6th and ending
Saturday, August 8th).
Class 4: Sundays from 4-5:30pm (starting Sunday, June 7th and ending
Sunday, August 9th).
The course will be taught over ten weeks with all individual classes ending
the week of August 7th. Classes will meet for a combined final class on
Saturday, August 15th.

LOCATION: Classes will be provided via zoom. Once registered, a zoom link
will be sent to each student by the Akron Civic Theatre.
