MUST GO ONLINE!

A Musical Written to be Rehearsed and Performed Remotely!

Ohio Youth Ensemble Stage (OHYES) has replaced its traditional summer
musical with a new opportunity: *THE SHOW MUST GO ONLINE!* In this
first-of-its-kind musical, each actor will be cast by directors in a 1-2
minute scene/song to rehearse, video record, and upload. When all the
videos are played in order, they tell the hilarious story of a group of
passionate students desperate to keep their annual musical alive…online! *THE
SHOW MUST GO ONLINE*, Book by Jessica Penzias, Lyrics by Dave Hudson, and
Music by Denver Casado, is presented through special arrangement with Beat
by Beat Press www.bbbpress.com. Check out their website if you would like

*Any student with an interest is welcome to participate.* The participation
fee will be $60 per student. *Go to https://cutt.ly/OHYESShow2020

receive a show t-shirt with the cast list and a link to the production
streaming watch parties. We are offering a 10% discount for 2 or more
siblings in the production. Ohio Youth Ensemble Stage believes every child
should have the opportunity to experience the arts, regardless of ability
or financial means. Scholarships are available for those who qualify.

* Rehearsals begin online on or after June 8. Performance videos will be
submitted on June 26. Performances will be live-streamed on July 2 and 3.*


The OHYES production will be conducted 100% online and feature speaking
roles for every actor. We have multiple directors and multiple casts so we
can accommodate any number of students who would like to participate. Each
student actor will receive a solo scene script and/or song. Each week there
will have two to three online rehearsals with a director before submitting
your recorded final scene at the end of three weeks. Our artistic staff
includes Nate Sayatovich, Michelle Hujar, Malik Khalfani, Zoe Alberts,
Andrew Nemec, Tom West, and Jerimie Newcomb.
