2020 DW Experience

July 20-24, 2020



Join Dancing Wheels in our new “DW Experience,” a one-week program for
dancers ages 15 and up. This program fosters both technical growth and
artistic development in physically integrated dance, and promotes a
supportive community of individuals with and without disabilities. Dancing
Wheels company members will conduct classes and activities for participants
to enjoy throughout the week. The *DW Experience *allows everyone to
challenge themselves in both body and mind, explore the expression of their
individuality, and work at their own level. This year’s *DW Experience* may
include an opportunities to perform in honor of the 30th anniversary of the
signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. All participants are
invited to perform in The School of Dancing Wheels Performance Ensemble for
the 2020-2021 season.

Tuition

$250 Full Tuition (extended early-bird discount if paid by June 30)

$275 Full Tuition (due by July 20, 2020)

$50 Non-Refundable Deposit (Guarantees spot in DW Experience if paid by
June 30, 2020. Remainder of tuition due by July 20, 2020.)



Maximum capacity 10 participants in-studio.



Must have a minimum of 5 students registered for the program to take
place.  Payments received, and if the program has to be cancelled, will be
applied as tuition towards future classes with the School of Dancing Wheels
online or in-person.

12:00     Improvisation/Composition
1:00       Wheelchair Technique
2:00       New Work Development

CULMINATING PERFORMANCES

Friday – July 24, 2:00-3:00 pm (live broadcasted in-studio showcase)
Saturday – July 25, TBD (Performance art installation via Zoom for ON
DISPLAY by Heidi Latsky Dance)

Week of August 3rd – TBA (Live interactive Dancing Wheels class for ADA
Cleveland’s March for Access event)
