August 22-23

On Camera Acting (Youth)

Getting in front of the camera, each student will receive adjustments and
notes that will help students gain the confidence to deliver dynamic, bold
and honest auditions that casting directors are looking for!

Stage to Screen Calibration (Adults)
August 23rd 1:15-3:45
How many times have you been told to “do less” when you go in for an
on-camera audition and left completely confused about what that means and
how to truly execute that correction? The tools we use to bring characters
to life on stage are similar but not exactly the same ones we use for the
camera. Students will prepare the same scene (or monologue) for both stage
and screen auditions, learning to calibrate their performance for each
medium while deepening their work by finding their character’s actions,
objectives, and relationship to the arc of the scene.
