JOB TITLE: StageManager

CLASSIFICATION: AEA CasualEmployment Rider

REPORTS TO: Director ofProduction

 

ClevelandPlay House (CPH) seeks a Stage Manager (SM) for our remote Zoom workshop scriptdevelopment of a new play September 24 & 25, 2020, as well as an SM for a separate,second remote Zoom workshop script development of new play October 20-23, 2020.This SM will work with the director, playwright, cast and CPH staff. The CasualEmployment Rider (CER) position is an AEA contract, but non-AEA members are welcometo apply. Local residency is not required; candidates can work from anylocation, and local and non-local applicants are accepted.

Duties include:

·        Communicatekey information with artists and staff

·        Plan,distribute and manage daily schedule

·        Runrehearsals and possible internal CPH reading

·        Createand distribute daily rehearsal reports

·        ManageZoom platform, possibly including breakout rooms, supported by CPH staff

·        Managescript edits with dramaturg and playwright

·        Therewill be no presentation of these workshops to a public audience
