UA THEATRE HOLDS VIRTUAL AUDITIONS FOR “CLUE”

Students and community members invited to audition for virtual theatre
production

Akron, OH – The University of Akron School of Dance, Theatre, and Arts
Administration invites students and community members to audition for UA
Theatre’s Spring MainStage Virtual Production, “Clue” written by Sandy
Rustin with additional material by Hunter Foster and Eric Price. Adapted
from the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn for the Paramount Pictures Motion
Picture based on the classic Hasbro board game Clue, the virtual
performance will be directed by guest artist and UA Associate Lecturer in
Theatre Arts, Dane Leasure.

The second of the MainStage productions in UA Theatre’s 2020-2021 Season,
“Clue” is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. Six colorful guests
assemble for a dinner with murder and blackmail on the menu. When their
host turns up dead, they all become suspects. The race to find the killer
is on as the body count stacks up. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will
leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure
out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!

*Auditions will take place Wednesday, January 20, 2021 and Thursday,
January 21, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM online. Appointments are
