[NEohioPAL] ASL Fluent Actors Needed for Upcoming Film

Angelaboehmcasting is seeking people FLUENT in ASL for an upcoming Feature
Film shooting in Northeast Ohio!

Looking for:

--All ages (18 and over), genders, ethnicities.
--Preferred real couple but are open to individual submissions! *Please note:
this will be a video AND photo submission.

NO MINORS
MUST BE PREPARED TO BE TESTED MULTIPLE TIMES FOR COVID19. All testing will
be paid for by production.

Shoot Dates:

--Film is shooting Mid June to late October.
--Must have flexible schedule as exact dates are TBD.
--When submitting, please include any conflicts for this time period (June-
October).

Northeast Ohio

Pay Rates:

$1,030/8hrs + 10%

Deadline:

Wednesday, April 14th at 2:00pm

Please See Self-Tape Instructions Below:
Prompt: Pretend like you are arguing with your significant other in a
public place.
-If you are submitting individually, imagine that the person you are
arguing with is just behind the camera.
-If you are submitting as a real couple, please tape together. Try to pivot
your bodies so you are somewhat facing the camera (we want to be able to
see your face as well as you signing.)

DO TWO TAKES:
TAKE 1:
-If you are hearing - sign while speaking.
-If you are deaf - sign and have an interpreter saying aloud what you are
signing or write the dialogue on the bottom of the screen.

TAKE 2:

-If you are hearing - sign w/out speaking. -If you are deaf - sign only.

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR SELF-TAPE AUDITIONS

--Please tape yourself from the waist up so we can easily see you signing.
--Lighting, audio and backdrop are crucial. Many auditions aren’t sent to
the director due to production quality.
--At the END of the audition: Slate your name, and agent if you have one.
Also state if you are a local hire.

If you are hearing, please slate and sign while you're speaking. If you are
deaf, please sign your slate and have either an interpreter (behind the
camera) state your slate information, or write your info on the bottom of
the screen, or on a piece of paper.

--Please indicate if you are hearing or deaf
 --Include a current photo of yourself. This does not have to be
professional, but please have it be a photo of you alone, no filters, hats,
or sunglasses. (If you are submitting as a real couple, please also include
a recent photo of the two of you together.)

--MUST LIST IF YOU HAVE AN AGENT
--Video files must be condensed to be under 50MB. If the file is too large
we may not be able to upload it.
--Please title video submissions with "your name_ASL."
