Avenue Arts proudly announces auditions for GOD OF CARNAGE!!

*AUDITIONS WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE CULTURAL CENTER FOR THE ARTS!*
*Located at 1001 Market Ave. N Canton, Ohio 44702*

SYNOPSIS: A playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings
together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter.
At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses,
and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the
couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.

*"God of Carnage" is presented by special arrangement with Dramatist Play
Services, Inc.*

Stage Manager: Michael Porter

Auditions will be held on Monday, April 26th and Tuesday, April 27th from
7-9pm
Callbacks (if necessary) will take place later in the week, date TBD.

All auditioners are asked to come prepared to cold read from the script. We
also ask that you bring a current headshot and resume with you to auditions.

At this time, there are no stipends and/or AEA contracts being offered!

*COVID-19 SAFETY: *All safety measures are to be strictly enforced during
rehearsal periods including the use of masks/face shields, social
distancing, temperature checks and frequent sanitazion processes.
Management will continue to take COVID-19 progressions into account as
decisions are made for the safety of the staff, cast, crew and patrons of
Avenue Arts.

****IMPORTANT: *In agreement with Dramatist Play Service, Inc. this play
will be streamed virtually with a small in-person audience each night.

Performances: June 4th-20th (Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at
2pm)

ROLES AVAILABLE:

*Veronica Novak (female, 20s-40s, any ethnicity) - *a writer, tries to
maintain civility and decorum, judgmental and domineering.

*Michael Novak (male, 20s-40s, any ethnicity) - *uncouth, makes racial
comments, regresses to Neanderthal, hardware store salesperson.

*Annette Raleigh (female, 20s-40s, any ethnicity) - *considers herself part
of the elite class, anxiety-ridden, on the brink of a panic attack.

*Alan Raleigh (male, 20s-40s, any ethnicity) - *rude corporate lawyer
always on his phone, sexist and self-absorbed.
