WRP CLASSICS YOUTH PRODUCTION SERIES
Produced by the WRP Education Department and WRP Connect
The Western Reserve Playhouse is announcing a season of youth productions
for students of all ages! Whether you like to act, sing, boogie, direct,
design sets and/or costumes, write, all of the above, or are just
interested in learning, this is a great place for you! Students will
audition for these productions and, if cast, will have the opportunity to
perform, and learn how to produce abridged versions of these classic tales
adapted specifically for them!
Students will participate in these productions free of charge!

THE PRODUCTIONS:
Around The World in 80 Days
By Jules Verne
Adapted by August Scarpelli and Shahrazad Theatre Company
Directed by Anna Popa
For students ages 11-15
In 1872 Phileas Fogg made a bet that he could traverse the globe in 80 days.
New friends, strange acquaintances, and careful planning could be the only
way.
Though, this was only possible if nothing would hinder his success.
Did we mention that there is a warrant out for his arrest?
Performance Dates: June 25th -27th
This production will be rehearsed and performed live outdoors at WRP!!!
Rehearsals will begin around the week of June 6th and will be held on
weekday evenings/ weekends based on the availability of the actors.
Not Your Average FairyTale
(A remix of fates for the villians and heros of fairytale land)
Directed by Dayshawnda Ash
Written by Dayshawnda Ash and August Scarpelli
For students ages 5-10
Performance Dates: August 6th -8th
This production will be rehearsed and performed live outdoors at WRP!!!
Rehearsals will begin the week of July 19th and will be held on weekday
evenings/ weekends based on the availability of the actors. *Everyone who
auditions will be cast!*
MACBETH
By William Shakespeare
Directed by Shley Snider
For students ages 13-18
One of Shakespeare's Great Tragedies. The tale of a prophecy from three
witches to a brave Scottish general that he will climb the ranks and one
day be King of Scotland. Macbeth and his wife are spurred by vaulting
ambition to dark ends wracked with guilt and paranoia.
Performance Dates: September 17th -19th
This production will be rehearsed and performed live outdoors at WRP!!!
Rehearsals will begin around the week of August 23rd and will be held on
weekday evenings/ weekends based on the actors availability.
