[NEohioPAL] AUDITIONS: "Funeral for a Gangster" Murder Mystery @ Norwalk Arts Center

AUDITION NOTICE

Open to community members 18 years and old, this mad cap audience
participation murder mystery show will be presented on Aug 6 and 7, 2021in
Norwalk, Ohio. This event will be a FUNdraiser for the non-profit, Norwalk
Arts Center. Five roles available  2 male, 2 female and 1 flexible, we will
also need ensemble members to act as mobsters.

Set in 1928 where family and friends have gathered to pay their respects to
Vito “The Gut” Marzetti after he was gunned down after devouring his third
helping of moo goo gai pan. Fun and mystery will unfold while guests enjoy
a family style Italian dinner. Actors should be comfortable interacting
with the audience. These are NON-equity, NON-paid roles.

Roles as described:


JOEY "THE LUMP" MARZETTI - Thirties. A very laid-back type. A hood but not
a bum.  He's a bootlegger. Oddly innocent, he also ain't overly bright.

RUBY "FINGERS" MARZETTI - Mid thirties. She's passionate and intense about
everything. She's Joey's sister and the manager of the speakeasy, "Ruby's
Place' where the funeral is to take place. An ex-show girl, she is
street-wise and smart.

FRANKIE "MARBLES" MARZETTI - Early forties. The eldest of the three. He
only shows rare glimpses of his own personality, preferring to hide out in
various alter egos (Father Francis, Col. F.P. BeauregardIV, Sir Franklin
Bolton of Smytton-Crouch, and Francois Francois, the French mime.)

LENA MARZETTI - The grieving widow. Twenties. "Bimbo" is the word that
comes to mind, although initially this is not evident due to the modest
black dress and heavy black veiling.

SPECIAL AGENT D. FARMER - The FBI/G-man or woman. A straight arrow type. A
no-nonsense, not-too-heavy-on-the-sense-of-humor sort.


Auditions will be held from 6- 8 pm on May 27th at 22 E Main Street,
Norwalk, Ohio. Rehearsals are slated for Tuesday and Thursday evening form
6-8 pm.
