 Porthouse Theatre Seeks Submissions for Role of  Street Singer in
BKLYN, the Musical

Seeking Non-Union actor/ singer for role of  Street Singer in BKLYN,
the Musical  at Porthouse Theatre.

Seeking Non- Union Actors for the Role of STREET SINGER/ Cleavant is
the narrator of the story. Charismatic and Soulful.

Seeking Black or  BIPOC actor/ singer- High Baritone. Male
identifying, age range: 50-60s

Brooklyn, the Musical is a story within a story. A troupe of street
performers share a story from their lives, using it to help you see
the humanity in all  of us. They tell the story of a young girl who
comes to the U.S. to find the father she never knew. Together these
stories create a show that is both touching and inspiring.

All other roles are cast.

Rehearsals begin June 22- opens July 8 closes July 24

Rehearsals take place Tuesday- Sunday 10am—5:00pm

Music Director- Ed Ridley

 Porthouse Theatre has operated for over 50 years as the premier
summer theatre of  Kent State University.  Located in Cuyahoga Falls,
on the grounds of Blossom Music  Festival, Performances are Tuesday-
Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.

 Due to compliance with  guidelines, all Porthouse company members
must be fully vaccinated.
