Hathaway Brown Theatre Institute is thrilled to present the Northeastern
Ohio Premiere of *The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical. *Opening
on Broadway in 2019, and nominated for three Drama Desk Awards, this "action
packed mythical adventure" with its thrilling rock score is the musical
adaptation of Rick Riordan's best selling book.  Hailed as "a
thoroughly endearing family friendly musical" by Broadway News and "Percy
is a Rock Star!" by NY Daily News, this musical is compelling for fans 0f
the books and new audiences alike.  As the son of Posiedon, Percy Jackson
has newly discovered powers he can't control, monsters on his trail and is
on a quest to find Zeus' stolen lightning bolt in order to prevent a war
among the gods.

HBTI's production of The Lightning Thief is co-directed/choreographed by
Bebe Weinberg Katz and Dan Hendrock. With music direction by John Krol,
fight choreography by Katie Gibson, set/lighting design by T. Paul Lowry,
costume/prop design by Vanessa Cook and sound design by Carlton Guc.

This production has limited seating, outside under the tent and it is
"bring your own chair".
