*You've only got two live opportunities and one online opportunity to catch
THE ABSOLUTE BRIGHTNESS OF LEONARD PELKEY and APPLES IN WINTER - and look
what critics are saying!*

"All [nine] characters come to credible life thanks to Craig Joseph’s
remarkable performance acumen. From the timbre of his various accents (New
Joisey, Britain, Germany) to the detailed nuances of body language, his
expressivity is riveting, at once fiery, poignant and not without a
generous dose of edgy humor. He turns the playwright’s words into specific,
tangible people with attitudes - funny, happy, frightened, angry, mournful
- switching from one to the next with astonishing speed and precision."
(Tom Wachunas, Artwach)

"[Anne] McEvoy gives a brilliant performance as Miriam, who's alternately
nervous, apologetic, funny and heartbreaking. Under the direction of Jamie
Koeth, we feel the deep mourning of a loving mother through all of McEvoy's
soulful performance." (Kerry Clawson, The Akron Beacon Journal)

Police detective Chuck DeSantis portrays every character in a small Jersey
Shore town as he unravels the story of Leonard Pelkey, a tenaciously
optimistic and flamboyant fourteen-year-old-boy who goes missing. A
luminous force of nature whose magic is only truly felt once he is gone,
Leonard becomes an unexpected inspiration as the town's citizens question
how they live, who they love, and what they leave behind.

*APPLES IN WINTER*

Twenty-two years ago, Miriam’s son, Robert, committed a horrible crime
while in the grips of withdrawal. He was caught, tried, and convicted of
first-degree murder and has been sitting on death row ever since. In seven
hours the state will execute him. As is the tradition, Robert is granted a
last meal. His request: a slice of his mother’s apple pie. So now, Miriam
is in the kitchen, caring for her son one last time.
