convergence-continuum is Seeking 4 actors for the regional premierof White by James Ijames, directed by Cory Molner

AVAILABLEROLES:

GUS- An Artist. White male, 30s

VANESSA- The Actress. A Black Woman 20s-30s. Also ST. DIANA OFDETROIT- A Vision. Later BALKONAE TOWNSEND- An Artist. 

JANE- The Curator. White Female. 30s.

TANNER- The Boyfriend. Asian male. Late 20s- early 30s.

The production will open Fri, October 8th and run Thurs-Sat through October 30th, 2021 (11performances). Showtime is 8 PM

All roles in this production will receive a stipend.

ABOUT THEPLAY:

Gus is an artist. Vanessa is an actress. Gus wants to be presentedin a major exhibition for artists of color, so he hires Vanessa to perform asBalkonaé Townsend, a brash and political artist that will fit the museum’sdesire for “new voices.” Everything is great, until Balkonaé takes over and Gushas to deal with the mess he’s made. This play spins out of control as itexplores issues of race, gender, sexuality, and art.
