Chagrin Valley Little Theatre’s annual interactive murder mystery 
fundraiser comes to the web! Help CVLT return to the live stage for the 
92nd Season with your admission to this thrilling and unique fundraiser 
event.

Your $35 ticket gives you access to participate in this year’s web-based 
/Murder by the Falls/. Part of every admission goes towards the Grand 
Prize, so the more players there are, the bigger the prize will be! It's

      "NURSERY CRIMES"

Humperdinck T. Dumpty, the editor and co-owner of Chagrin Falls’ local 
newspaper “The Nursery Times”, has been found dead. Sgt. Simon hasn’t 
been able to crack the case, and Mother Goose has asked you to review 
the evidence and discover the identity of the killer.

This interactive online mystery by /Murder by the Falls/ veterans Andrew 
and Greta Rothman will tickle your intellect and your funny bone.

The video content for this event features the talents of Don Bernardo, 
Kate Bernardo, John Bruce, Tom David, Ron Davis, Natalie Dolezal, Lisa 
Freebairn, Jan Jones, John Kolar, Abby Longshore, Eric Mortensen, Taylor 
Mortenson, Eric Oswald, Margo Parker, Eli Ravenson, Brenda Redmond,

      HOW IT WORKS:

*What will I need?*

  * *A Screen!* All you’ll need to play is a device with internet
    connectivity and access to a printer. The clues for this game will
    arrive in a PDF to your email inbox on the night of the event.
    You’ll want to print it out, as some clues will be easier to find
    with a pencil.
  * *Friends!* Gather a team of your most puzzle-minded friends to help
    you – it’ll make the game easier and more fun! You can either
    purchase all admissions at once, or purchase separately. / Please
    /encourage all team members to purchase a ticket… it is a
    fundraiser, after all!

*How will we play?*

  * *Sleuth! *On Friday, September 10 at 7 PM EST, all registered
    participants will receive an email containing a PDF document. This
    file contains newspaper clippings from the fictional /Nursery
    Times/ newspaper. Hidden within these pages are clue keywords. Some
    will be obvious and some will require a bit more sleuthing and
    puzzle solving to find.
  * *Watch! *You’ll also receive a special web page link. Once you’ve
    found a keyword in the newspaper, you’ll enter it into the box on
    the web page, along with the Ticket Code from your ticket purchase.
    If you’ve found a valid keyword, you’ll unlock a short video scene
    featuring the victim or people surrounding him.

*How do I win?*

  * Examine the PDF document and watch the videos to try to sort out who
    killed Humpty Dumpty, why, and how. You can watch the videos as many
    times as you like.
  * Once you think you’ve figured out who had a motive, an opportunity,
    and a method, you’ll fill in a short form to submit your solution.
    You’ll have until noon on Saturday to submit an answer.
  * The first person or team with the correct (or closest to correct)
    solution submitted by Saturday, Sept. 11 at noon will win the grand
    prize!


      *THE IN-PERSON RECEPTION:*

We’ll be hosting an optional in-person party at *7 PM on Saturday 
September 11* at the theatre! There will be wine, snacks, and Nursery 
Crimes treat bags from The Chagrin Falls Popcorn Shop

Cleveland's own *Jan Jones* will be the Emcee, and many members of the 
cast, the director/writers, and others will be there to celebrate with you.

At this event game co-creator Andrew Rothman be reviewing all of the 
videos from the game and revealing the solution and the winner.

This will also be a celebration of our official re-opening for the new 
season! The directors of our 92nd Season production will speak about 
their shows.

*The Fine Print:* Players must be 18+ residents of Ohio to receive the 
cash prize. Prize will be awarded to the first submitted solution that 
identifies the correct killer, motive, and method. Submissions will be 
accepted between 7 PM EST on 9/10/21 and 11:59 AM EST on 9/11/21. In the 
event of a tie, the prize money will be split evenly. If no correct 
solution is submitted, the solution most closely matching the correct 
one, as determined by the playwrights, will be selected. Winner(s) will 
be announced on the evening of 9/11/21.
