DOVER PLAYERS - Open audition for a new comedy!  

THE TRUTH BE TOLD, by Greg Lavelle

Date: Sat. Sept. 11, 3pm to 5pm

Location:  North Olmsted United Methodist Church,

                  4600 Dover Center Rd. 

 

Play Synopsis:  Jasper, a naïve college professor, has invented a truth
serum, Veritum, but must navigate the politics of academia to get funding.
Taking the serum, he finds new possibilities with sexy assistant, Leslie.
The questions:  Will college politics squash his dreams?  Will Jasper find
“true” love with Leslie?  Will Veritum have some unexpected Jekyll and Hydey
consequences or will something unexpected take things in an entirely
different direction.

 

Performance Dates: Oct. 21 (Preview), Oct. 22-24, Oct. 29-31, and Nov. 5-7

Rehearsals Mon. - Thurs. beginning Mon. Sept. 20

Roles Needed:  

Willy, male 30+ wise cracking skeptic. (200+ lines)

Leslie, female, attractive, 20’s 30s.  Down to earth female. (70 lines)

Other smaller roles available for anyone of any race, sex, age or experience
level.
