*Seeking Director - Summer 2022 | Cleveland Shakespeare Festival*



Cleveland Shakespeare Festival is seeking an Ohio-based director to mount a
comedy (from or inspired by William Shakespeare) for their 25th Season.
Interested candidates should submit proposals no later than Monday,
September 20 at 11:59pm.



*Submit Proposal(s) at: *www.cleveshakes.org/directing





*Plays Under Consideration:* Comedic plays from the Shakespeare canon,
and/or plays inspired by William Shakespeare or his works.



*Plays NOT Under Consideration:* *The Comedy of Errors, Much Ado About
Nothing, Twelfth Night*



*Rehearsals & Timeline:* Summer rehearsals to begin in June with opening
night slated for Friday, July 22. Exact rehearsal schedule will be
determined by director and production team.



*Production: *All CSF summer shows are produced to tour across northeast
Ohio and perform outdoors in parks and recreational areas, with each show
being held in a different venue and presented free of charge to all
audiences. CSF attracts nearly 5,000 patrons each summer.



*Qualifications:* Qualified candidates should have previous directing
experience, preferably having acquaintance with the works of Shakespeare
and/or Outdoor Theatre.



*Paid Position:* CSF directors are paid a stipend upon opening of show.
