[NEohioPAL] Open Position at Playhouse Square: Technical Project Manager

Playhouse Square is looking for an outgoing, people oriented person with strong interpersonal skills to take on our exciting position of Technical Project Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  1.  Embrace Playhouse Square values and programs that further Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the department.
  2.  As assigned by Director of Production, advance, and prepare cost estimates for productions as required. Communicate and coordinate all production aspects of presenting and producing, including city permitting and fire prevention. Be available from load-in through load-out or as assigned.
  3.  Prepare billings and settlements as needed.
  4.  Maintain a working knowledge of evolving stage technology including IT, production projection systems, Vectorworks, and emerging new technologies.
  5.  Assist Director of Production with ordering of stage supplies and theatrical equipment.
  6.  Working with Director of Production, develop and streamline systems, such as housemen work weeks and show estimates.
  7.  Insure advance information conforms with approved riders and contracts on all shows.
  8.  Create and maintain working Vectorwork drawings and light plots of all theatres.
  9.  Supervise maintenance and condition of stages, orchestra pits, dressing rooms,
communication systems and technical support areas; report and suggest solutions.

10. Supervise crew calls and activitiesSupervise and or arrange delivery, pick-up and payment for rented equipment. Supervise repair and maintenance of in-house equipment.

11. Stay up to date with terms of all union contracts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1.  Minimum of three years of experience in production management or technical direction.
  2.  Ability to read light plots, ground plans and to implement tech riders.
  3.  Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  4.  Proficient in Vectorworks and a working knowledge of theatrical lighting systems.
  5.  Outgoing, people oriented person, with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  6.  Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  7.  Excellent verbal and written communication/analytical skills.
  8.  Ability to lift 50 lbs.
