Classification: Part Time, Show-Specific, Hourly

Salary Range: $16.00/hour

Location: Cleveland, OH

Start Date: October 15, 2021

Schedule: This position will have a schedule that aligns with the CPH rehearsal/preview performance schedule and will primarily work evenings/weekends.

Reports to: Associate Producer

Note: Cleveland Play House requires that all staff and guest artists be fully vaccinated in order to complete work on any CPH production.

Cleveland Play House (CPH) is seeking a Covid-19 Safety Officer to join the artistic and production team. This position will ensure that COVID-19 safety requirements as defined by Cleveland Play House under guidelines with Actors' Equity Association (AEA), United Scenic Artists (USA) and the Society for Directors and Choreographers (SDC) are implemented throughout the rehearsal and performance periods. The Covid-19 Safety Officer will receive training and work with the Associate Producer, Associate Director of Production and HR Department to enhance and implement COVID-19 safety protocols within the organization. The Covid-19 Safety Officer will serve as primary point persons to address COVID-19 safety questions and concerns with relevant production personnel including cast, crew, musicians and production team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  *   Communicate, oversee, monitor and enforce procedures for COVID-19 safety practices, symptom monitoring, protocols following a positive test, cleaning and sanitization, guest artist requests, and case reporting throughout rehearsal and performance periods.
  *   Conduct COVID-19 safety orientations and training with relevant production personnel.
  *   Serve as primary contact to receive and respond to COVID-19 safety and compliance concerns.
  *   If unable to resolve a compliance concern or if there are continuing or serious compliance concerns, work closely with the Covid-19 Resource Team to address as needed.
  *   Conduct COVID-19 safety assessments and evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk.
  *   Establish a plan to communicate regularly with the Covid-19 Resource Team and make recommendations for adjustments to COVID safety protocols as needed.
  *   Provide reports to Production Management and HR/Risk Manager regarding concerns, violations, and compliance issues.

  *   Strong oral and written communication skills
  *   Comfortable speaking to and instructing groups of colleagues
  *   Proven organizational skills including logistics, time management and scheduling
  *   Certification in Covid-19 Compliance Training preferred, but training sessions can be provided to a candidate as needed.

This position will primarily work in collaboration with: Production Management, Stage Management, Human Resources and Artistic Departments.
