[NEohioPAL] MTC to Hold Heathers the Musical Auditions in Youngstown, tonight through Saturday!

[The Millennial Theatre Company]

The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) is holding auditions for the local
premiere of Heathers the Musical, in collaboration with The Hopewell
Theatre. Auditions will be held at The Hopewell Theatre in Youngstown (702
Mahoning Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio 44502) on November 11 from 6-9pm,
November 12 from 6-9pm, and November 13 from 12-3pm. Rehearsals are slated
to begin the week of November 15th. All performers will need to be fully
vaccinated against COVID-19 before the start of rehearsals. Proof of
vaccination will be required before the first rehearsal. Masks are required
at all times at the auditions, except when performing. Non-union, unpaid.

The production will be performed January 7-10 and 14-16 at The Hopewell
Theatre in Youngstown Ohio.

Auditioners (ages 16+) should prepare a 30-60 second cut of a song in the
style of the show. An accompanist and bluetooth speaker will be provided.
There will also be a cold read from the script. All roles are open.

Heathers the Musical, based on the classic 1989 film, brings audiences to
Westerberg High, a school ruled by a shoulder-padded, scrunchie-wearing
junta: Heather, Heather and Heather, the hottest and cruelest girls in all
of Ohio. But misfit Veronica Sawyer rejects their evil regime for a new
boyfriend, the dark and sexy stranger J.D., who plans to put the Heathers
in their place – six feet under.
