AUDITION NOTICE

Casting the role of Fletcher for Kent State Theatre and Dance Production of DISNEY’S FREAKY FRIDAY

Director: Eric van Baars

Music Director: Jonathan Swoboda

Choreographer- Jennifer Black

Role- Fletcher Blake- a 10-year-old, obsessed with magic and his puppets. Must sing.

PRODUCTION DATES:

Rehearsals start Sat. Jan 15, 2022. Rehearsals will be Mon- Fri evenings and one weekend day- to be determined based on all schedules. Fletcher would not be called for every rehearsal. Tech week begins Thursday, Feb. 17, and all cast members would be called during that week leading up to a 2/25 opening.

Production Opens Friday Feb 25, 2022 and closes Sunday, March 6, 2022

All rehearsals and performances take place on the Kent Campus in Kent, OH.

WHEN: Preliminary Auditions will take place Friday, Nov 19th from 5:30-6:30pm

WHERE: Auditions will be held in the Black Box Theatre, room B117, in the Center for the Performing Arts Building ( 1325 Theatre Drive) on the Kent Campus of Kent State University. Park in the large Commuter Lot, on Theatre Drive.

WHAT TO PREPARE: a song with sheet music. Accompanist provided. Headshots and resumes are appreciated. Actors may be given sides to read at the audition.
