For youth ages 11-14 years old

7-week course on site at CPT

January 4, 2022 – February 17, 2022

Mondays and Wednesdays 

4:30pm-6:00pm

WHO

CAN Academy programming is open to thepublic, and non-Cleveland residents are welcome to apply, however ClevelandPublic Theatre has a priority to engage Cleveland residents.

Applicationswill be reviewed on an ongoing basis. Enrollment is capped at 14 young artists.

WHAT

Join us for Theatrein Motion, an in-person after-school program that provides theatre trainingfrom an

imaginativeperspective. Youth will explore acting fundamentals, storytelling methods,collaborative creation, devising techniques, and critical thinking through alens of movement. Students will build skill through vocal and physicaltraining, ensemble building, and create new and original works culminating to alive showcase for family and friends on the final day. CAN Academy performingarts activities improve academic skills, instill empathy and responsibility,build character, and enhance creative thinking. Join us this winter for this JOYFULexploration of play!


This program is offered at NO COST thanks to the Cleveland Foundation.All classes are in person on site at Cleveland Public Theatre. Young artistsmust be masked and follow our health and safety protocols.
