Radio on the Lake Theatre, the only professional theater company in Northeast Ohio exclusively dedicated to the illumination of the radio play, is delighted to announce that its newest project, presented in partnership with Interplay Jewish Theatre, in conjunction with the Cleveland Arts Prize Past Masters series, is now streaming online.
Out of the Past: The Stories of Martha Wolfenstein is a series of recorded readings of three short stories by the late Cleveland author Martha Wolfenstein, who was selected by Dennis Dooley for the Cleveland Arts Prize as a Past Master . These stories first appeared in her 1905-published collection A Renegade and Other Tales, and have been enhanced in these recordings by a sound effects design by ROTLT Artistic Director John Watts. The project was directed by Faye Sholiton, and the stories are read by Kathryn Wolfe Sebo, Rosette Barron Haim and Sarah Sager.
Out of the Past: The Stories of Martha Wolfenstein is now available at Radio on the Lake Theatre and will also be donated to the Cleveland Public Library system. This project was generously funded by the Leonard Krieger Fund of the Cleveland Foundation, Dr. Mark Levine and Ellen Levine, and Interplay Jewish Theatre.
