POSITION # 1
Hoover Auditorium Technical Director - Lakeside Chautauqua
Full Time - Seasonal Exempt Position (May - September)
Summary:  Hoover Auditorium, in Lakeside Chautauqua, is home to a busy summer arts series which presents multiple events each week between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. Programs include a wide variety of evening shows including rock bands, symphony concerts, family variety acts (magicians, jugglers), lectures, worship events and more.
The Hoover Technical Director prepares for and manages the day-to-day production operations of historic Hoover Auditorium, a 2500 seat historic proscenium theatre. The TD requires a working knowledge of audio, lighting and video production and systems.  Responsibilities include the daily management of all events, as well as weekly cleaning and maintenance of facilities and equipment. The TD advances technical requirements on all contracts, supervises the seasonal crew, and coordinates all maintenance and repair needs.  The TD works on a flexible schedule basis and is required to work all major events in Hoover to ensure safety and appropriate facility operation.
Must be available from mid-May through August, and ideally through Labor Day weekend. The TD is supervised by the Director of Arts & Entertainment Programming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (To include other duties that may be assigned.)
*   Advances all event contracts and arranges for all technical requirements for events, including crew and equipment
*      Coordinates the daily load in/set up/load out for performances including lighting, audio, video, staging, equipment and backline
*      Schedules, trains and supervises production crew
*      Coordinates building and equipment maintenance in a timely manner
*      Serves as running crew for events in one of the following roles:             Audio Tech          Video Switcher/Stage Manager
*      Maintains safe environment both backstage and front of house for all crew, performers and patrons
*      Ensures customer service and satisfaction are of highest priority with all staff
*      Communicates with all parties in an efficient and effective manner
*      image of the organization at all times in the facility and community whether on or off the clock.
*      Evaluates Hoover stage crew mid and post season
*      Evaluate the Hoover season programming with relation to mission, audience and venue

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required. Education and/or Experience:  Associate degree or higher in technical theatre or related field preferred. Experience in technical theatre production is required, strong audio background preferred. Experience with managing high school and college age crew preferred. Must possess strong oral and written communication, ability to motivate others and work independently and as a team member.

POSITION # 2:
Hoover Auditorium - Stage Crew
Summary:  Hoover Auditorium in Lakeside Chautauqua is home to a busy summer arts series which presents multiple evening shows each week between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. Programs include a wide variety of shows including rock bands, symphony concerts, family variety acts (magicians, jugglers), lectures, worship events and more. The Hoover Crew is responsible for completing day-to-day work tasks which include load in/set up/load out for each show, as well as cleaning/maintenance backstage and front of house. Crew functions as running crew for every performance.  Must be available from May - August, and ideally through Labor Day weekend.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (To include other duties that may be assigned.)
*      Assists in pre and post season cleaning, maintenance and equipment set up
*      Performs daily load in/set up/load out of all equipment required for performance including staging, sound equipment, backline gear, etc.
*      Performs daily/weekly facility maintenance and stage set-up duties
*      Assists Hoover Lighting Technician with hang & focus of stage lighting
*      Assists with providing performer's hospitality needs
*      Serves as running crew for evening show in one of the following roles:
Video Switcher                            Camera Operator             Spotlight Operator          Backstage Crew/Asst. Stage Manager
*      Provides a safe atmosphere for all guests and employees of Hoover Auditorium
*      Ensures customer service and satisfaction are of highest priority with all staff
*      Communicates with all parties in an efficient and effective manner
*      Exhibits teamwork attitude, strong work ethic and professionalism in all aspects of position

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
High school upperclassman or college student with theatre, music or video interest and experience preferred.
