cleveland PUBLIC theatre Cleveland Act Now (CAN) Academy Announces FREE Summer In-Person Program
SESSION ONE: June 13 – July 1 for 7 -10 years old
SESSION TWO: July 11– August 5 for 11-14 years old
Join us for Summer Synergy: Exploring Storytelling through Music and Movement, a 3-week (4-week for Seniors) intensive summer arts program for young artists that is both fun and challenging. Youth will learn acting fundamentals, storytelling methods, character development, dance, clowning fundamentals, physical comedy, visual arts, and more! Under the dedicated guidance of CPT Teaching Artists, children learn how to create and perform their own theatrical works. The program is led by CPT Teaching Artist and CAN Academy Site Coordinator, Zyrece Montgomery, and Teaching Artist, Lily Warner. Enrollment is determined by application. The application deadline is May 27th. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and families will be notified by May 27th at the latest. Enrollment is capped at 16 young artists per session. This program is offered at NO COST thanks to the support of the Cleveland Foundation and other generous supporters.

Materials provided journal, t-shirt, arts and crafts materials

Cleveland Public Theatre will be following all state and local health guidelines regarding COVID-19. Additional information about program procedures (i.e. mask requirements, temperature checks, etc.) will be released with final program details.
