Playwrights Local seeks a Sound Designer and an Assistant Stage Manager for
a short play festival in May 2022. The festival runs May 13 & 14 with
performances at 7:30 pm. This will be a condensed rehearsal and tech
process focused on the week preceding the festival and extending back to
individual rehearsals beginning May 1. The festival will consist of seven
10-minute plays produced on a workshop level, off-book with limited props
and costumes, limited lighting design, and a manageable amount of essential
sound cues.



Both positions are paid on the non-union scale.

Playwrights Local is a theater company based in Cleveland. Billed as a
playwrights’ center, the organization’s goal is to provide a home for
dramatic writing in Northeast Ohio. They offer classes and workshops,
produce original plays, provide networking opportunities, and engage the
