[NEohioPAL] Standardized Patients Needed

Hello,

The Simulation Center at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine is once
again looking for actors of many demographics (18 and over) to portray
patients for Medical Education Learners.

Most needed are:

·         Males 18-49

·         Females 18-49

·         Native Spanish Speakers – Any Age


You can help train the next generation of doctors!  We will train you to
portray a patient so students can practice interviewing, physical exam, and
professionalism.  Our Standardized Patients (SPs) are employed as
Independent Contractors and work according to their individual availability
and interest (work as little or as much as you’d like).

Programs are held in person Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm.
Some programs may start in the afternoon and run later.

SPs are recruited about 4-6 weeks in advance and trained before the
beginning of the program.  Programs are a minimum of 2 hours long (most are
longer) plus 2 hours of training (SPs are reimbursed at $20 an hour for
both the training and the program).

While we do record most sessions and require our SPs to sign an extensive
video release, be aware that, due to student privacy laws, the videos are
only used for student review, SP training and research.

phone interview.

Programs are held year-round.   Our next Zoom audition will be held Friday
May 13, 2022, 9-11am.  Those interested should complete the SP Application
and phone interview as soon as possible.
