"Silent Sky"

"Silent Sky", by LaurenGunderson, is based on the captivating true story of Henrietta Leavitt, a woman“computer” at the Harvard Observatory in the early 1900s. This semi-historicaldrama explores a woman’s place in society during a time of immense scientificdiscoveries, when women’s ideas were dismissed until men claimed credit forthem. As Henrietta, in her free time, attempts to measure the light anddistance of stars, she must also take measure of her life on Earth, trying tobalance her dedication to science with family obligations and the possibilityof love.

The show runs May 6th – 21st, at7:30PM on Fridays and Saturdays, with a Sunday matinee on May 15that 3:00PM. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students and maybe purchased at www.broadview-heights-spotlights.orgBroadviewHeights Spotlights theater is located on the Broadview Center campus, 9543Broadview Road (next to the Police Station).

The production is directed by RyanBergeron, costumed by Meghan Barylak, and co-produced by Tim Anderson and SarahPrice. The cast includes Katie Atkinson, Tara Corkery, Andrew Keller, PeggyNewton, and Theresa Pedone.
