Silent Sky: a historical dramapresented by Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater
Don't miss "SilentSky", by Lauren Gunderson. This beautiful drama with beautiful costumes and beautiful scenery is based on the captivating true story ofHenrietta Leavitt, a woman “computer” at the Harvard Observatory in the early1900s. This semi-historical drama explores a woman’s place in society during atime of immense scientific discoveries, when women’s ideas were dismissed untilmen claimed credit for them. As Henrietta, in her free time, attempts tomeasure the light and distance of stars, she must also take measure of her lifeon Earth, trying to balance her dedication to science with family obligationsand the possibility of love.
Theshow closes this weekend with performance on Friday, May 20th and Saturday, May 21st. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12for seniors and students and may be purchased at www.broadview-heights-spotlights.org  There are complimentary refreshments during intermission. Broadview Heights Spotlightstheater is located on the Broadview Center campus, 9543 Broadview Road (next tothe Police Station).
Theproduction is directed by Ryan Bergeron and Roxanna Bell, costumed by MeghanBarylak, and co-produced by Tim Anderson and Sarah Price. The cast includesKatie Atkinson, Tara Corkery, Andrew Keller, Peggy Newton, and Theresa Pedone.
