[NEohioPAL] CASTING CSU Thesis Film "CRIMINA HUMANA"

CASTING CALL for student thesis film “CRIMINA HUMANA," a narrative crime
anthology.


This will be a NON-UNION production led by Seniors of Cleveland State
University’s School of Film and Media Arts.


Actors must be available on weekends in October and early November. Actors
will be provided copy, credit, and meals according to the length of each
shooting day.

Logline:

An intruder breaks into the house of a paranoid recluse.

A persecuted lawyer finds a loophole to circumvent his legal troubles.

A nephew stumbles onto a crime scene involving his uncle, whose fate lies
in his hands.

Jeff (Lead):

(Late 20’s, Male, White, Bigger build) Shut in conspiracy theorist
gradually consumed by the paranoia of a break-in. Lives vicariously through
his brother, Tony, an army ranger.

Chadrick Peterson (Featured Extra):

(20’s, Male, White) Conspiracy obsessed talking head. Internet personality
with meager audience of devout followers. “Tells it how it is”.

Salah (Lead):

(Late 40’s, Male, Any Ethnicity) Corrupt white collar accountant whose
deeds caught up to him and his family. Now under investigation, he devises
a way to help his family and circumvent his punishment. Actor must be
comfortable with stunts and special FX makeup.

Andrea (Supporting Lead):

(30’s, Female, Any Ethnicity) Mother and wife to Salah, facing the legal
and financial consequences of her husband’s espionage. Her patience runs
thin as she takes their kid and stays with her parents.

Peter (Lead):

(Early 20’s, Male, Italian) Carefree nephew to Bobby, a notorious mobster.
On the night of a family wedding reception, Peter makes an impromptu visit
to Bobby’s house and walks in on a dirty secret.

Bobby/Kirk (Lead):

(Late 40’s, Male, Italian) Older widower with evident mob ties. Quick to
anger and rash decisions, which can be dangerous at times. He now works as
an upstanding police officer. Actor must be comfortable with stunts and
special FX makeup.
