Reports to: Costume Shop Supervisor 
 
Pay: $15.50/hour 
 
  
 
Cleveland Play House (CPH) is seeking Dressers to join the Wardrobe team for the production of American Mariachi.
 
  
 
Responsibilities include: 
 
· As led by the Wardrobe Supervisor and part of a team, coordinate pre-show costume preset in dressing rooms and backstage
 
· Manage costume changes during performances
 
· Complete post-show cleanup for each performance, including laundry and costume maintenance throughout the run of the show
 
· Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, and anti-racist culture at CPH by building positive relationships with staff, and immediately addressing instances of micro aggressive or harmful language or behavior 
 
· Inform Wardrobe Supervisor of any costume repair or other notes and supply needs
 
· Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
 
  
 
Required skills include: 
 
· Knowledge of general clothing and costume construction
 
· Ability to focus attention on detail and follow repeatable actions in a fast paced schedule
 
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively to find solutions to challenges
 
  
 
Desired skills and experience include: 
 
· Wardrobe experience including experience in ironing and steaming garments and best cleaning practices for clothing of various textures
 
· Wig maintenance including knowledge of blocking wigs, and experience putting wig on and removing wigs from actors heads
 
  
 
Work Schedule: 6 days a week, Tuesday-Sunday; Designer Run, Tech week and Preview Performances include morning, afternoon, evening and weekend hours; Performances primarily evening and weekend hours with two shows Saturday and a matinee Sunday; 4-hour minimum calls
